Fit Check: Place both hands on respirator. Inhale strongly. Be careful not to alter the position of the respirator. A negative pressure should be felt (the mask tends to collapse). Around the edges replace the respirator and adjust the bands to the head for a better fit. If you cannot properly seal the respirator with your hands and cannot achieve a proper fit, do not use this respirator.

This mask helps protect against certain particles. Incorrect use can cause illness or death. “See NIOSH approval label for more information.” For professional use of this respirator as part of an OSHA respirator program, each individual must pass a qualitative or quantitative fit test.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is the federal agency responsible for making research and recommendations for the prevention of work-associated illnesses and injuries. NIOSH is part of the Department of Health and Human Services; It is distinct from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which is a regulatory agency and is part of the Department of Labor.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is an agency of the federal government. NIOSH is responsible for testing and certifying all respirators used in workplaces in the United States. Under OSHA’s respirator standard, only NIOSH-certified respirators can be used by workers.

NIOSH has exclusive authority to test and certify respirators except for certain mine emergency devices, which will continue to be jointly certified by NIOSH and MSHA.

No agency or entity in the United States tests and certifies respirators for use by the general public; However, NIOSH/CDC tests and certifies respirators for use by workers to protect themselves against workplace hazards. NIOSH/CDC certified respirators carry the “NIOSH Approved” label, which identifies the hazards against which the respirator will protect. The N95 respirator is only approved to protect against dust (from activities such as sweeping, sawing, mold removal, and other dust-generating activities) in the air. The N95 respirator is not approved to protect against, and will not protect against, chemicals or gases in the air, such as carbon monoxide. If you smell a strong chemical odor, you should leave the area immediately.

The importance of a respirator complying with it is reflected in the quality of the product (amount of material retained and size of the particles, quality of the materials used for its manufacture) and therefore in the duration. A respirator with optimal quality conditions is recognized by having demonstrable certification from the North American organization NIOSH (United States National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), adopted worldwide, which verifies compliance with the legal standard OSHA (Administration of Occupational Safety and Health) in the United States: 42 CFR 84 (certification requirements for respirators).

The N-95 respirator (or N95 mask) has been approved for use by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), which is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Diseases (CDC). This respirator can offer you a certain degree of protection against airborne dust and mold. It must fit well to the face and be used correctly so that it can offer protection. You can buy N95 respirators at stores that sell safety products and at most hardware and home repair and improvement stores. If you have trouble breathing or any other problem while wearing the respirator during cleaning work, stop work and consult a doctor or other health care provider. – This is a product certification that guarantees the quality and filtration efficiency of our product.
